Mission & Purpose of the Center

The Avery T. Willis Center for Global Outreach exists to:

  1. Equip students for vocational Christian service any place on the globe.

  2. Help all students, faculty, and staff to develop and live out a missions lifestyle.

  3. Serve as a resource center and training facility for students, faculty, staff, and our constituents as they prepare for short-term volunteer assignments.

  4. Provide missiological research tools for students engaged in the study of missions and for missions volunteers as they prepare for their assignment.

  5. Serve Baptists of all ages in Oklahoma through hosting missions conferences and developing missions education resources.

  6. Provide and coordinate short term opportunities for service in our nation and throughout the world for students, faculty, and staff.

  7. Link students to on-going local outreach experiences in Shawnee and the surrounding area.
