Monica Mullins has been part of OBU’s staff since 1990 when she came on as an admissions counselor. In 1993, she began to serve as the director of residential life and student activities. In 1998 she moved to the position of assistant dean of students. During the spring of 2008, she was named assistant dean of enrollment management and director of student success. Monica officially moved to the position on August 1, 2008, directing the University's Student Success Center.
The Student Success Center will offer tutoring in most of core subjects as well as mathematics, chemistry, physics, accounting and economics. Students also will find help in writing research papers and in general study strategies.

Mullins earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from OBU. She also earned her master of education degree in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University. In addition, she has completed course work towards her master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In addition to her staff positions, Mullins has served as an instructor of language and literature since 2003 and also teaches Becoming a Master Student. She is currently a member of the Centennial Committee, the Student Development Committee, and the Enrollment Management Committee at OBU. She is involved in the Association of Christians in Student Development as a Member and Conference Presenter and is a member of University Baptist Church and the Pottawatomie County Pedalers.
