Dr. Krista Hands joined OBU in Fall 2010. Coming from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio, Dr. Hands has presented several times in the Ohio MAA Meetings. She has published articles in mathematics pedagogy regarding teaching business calculus and students preference for difficult classes. She and her husband, Jeff, have two children Abigail and Elias. Dr. Hands continues to attend national mathematics meetings and enjoys teaching courses in mathematics education, geometry and probability. She also has a passion for Ethiopia and for adoption, which permanently affected the Hands family with the adoption of Elias in 2008. As an outgrowth of this passion she was the sponsor for the Ethiopia GO Trip during summer 2011 and will be the sponsor for the Ethiopia GO Trip during summer 2012.
