Dr. Carolyn Gregory joined OBU in 2008 after 36 years of teaching primary grades for the Harrah School District in Harrah, Okla., where she still resides. While teaching the primary grades, one of her passions included teaching young children to read. During her time in public education she taught approximately 700 children to read. She was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 1987, and again in 2000 when she was also recognized as District Teacher of the Year for 2000. When she is not teaching she enjoys playing golf with friends, as well as shopping and attending musicals and play productions with her daughter, Amanda Ross, who resides in Midwest City, Okla.. She is also an avid fan of Thunder basketball and OSU football. She is a long time member of First Baptist Church in Harrah.
