In this track you will gain the expertise needed to impact the next generation of nurses in the classroom. Great education doesn’t just happen. It is intentionally planned. If you want to teach in the classroom you probably possess a natural bent towards investing in others. With our professor’s instruction and practice you can develop the skills needed to be a life change agent in the lives of your students.
Oklahoma Baptist University is a leader in Nursing Education. OBU is here to help you become a leader in the health care industry. This degree program is designed to help you grow in your ability to be a great nurse educator. Courses are taught by professors who have experience in their field. Through your practicum, you will have the ability to interact with community leaders and students alike as you develop your skills further. This will not be a book-knowledge MSN.
Your studies here can be shaped to fit your desired goals in your present position or the position you have your eye on. Our professors work with you to craft projects in line with your goals in the program. This is not a one-size fits all MSN. Your Capstone project will be designed and crafted by you as you look to a current or future educational issue that needs to be addressed. Your MSN program is limited only by the constraints you place upon it.
Your courses are designed to be very interactive. You and your fellow classmates engage current issues and topics in the health care industry. You are challenged to think in ways that you learn to make quality decisions and lead others through complex decisions. An MSN from OBU will allow you to step into greater leadership positions in your current position and in educational settings.
At the OBU Graduate School, we utilize materials from Character First in class to help you strengthen your professional ethic. You will be encouraged to put into practice character qualities that make you a stronger leader in the classroom, at work and at home. As a graduate, we want you to succeed, but we want you to succeed in doing what is right.
