Oklahoma Baptist University

MBA with Project Management Track

Description

The MBA with emphasis in project management is designed to meet the needs of businesses that focus primarily on research and development. Students with careers that involve one of a kind or few of a kind activities and deliverables will benefit from this degree program. These business types include construction firms, defense contractors, software development, and aerospace corporations. The program specialization focuses on project planning, project management, project risk, project communications, project quality, project procurement, and work breakdown structures. The specialization is underpinned by the business core that includes management, marketing, accounting, finance, ethics, business law and leadership in society, and managerial economics.

Leadership

Oklahoma Baptist University is here to help you become a leader in project management. This degree program is designed to help you engage and lead in projects with wisdom and discernment regarding issues of today and tomorrow. Courses are taught by professors who have experience in their field including Project Management Institute certified project and program managers. You will interact with both academic and business professionals from different sectors of businesses and the business community in general. The objective is for this program to be an application based MBA, not just a book-knowledge MBA. You will learn from leaders.

Personalized

Your studies here can be shaped to fit your desired goals in your present position or the position you have your eye on. Some courses include projects which can be tailored to fit the goals of the individual student. This is not a one-size fits all MBA. Your Capstone project will be designed and crafted by you as you look to current needs within your current company or that company you would like to start or join. Your MBA program is limited only by the constraints you place upon it.

Foundational Ethics

At the OBU Graduate School, we utilize materials from our Ethics, Business Law and Leadership course to help you strengthen your business ethic. From time to time, students are encouraged and invited to attend an Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium luncheon at the Petroleum Club. An MBA from OBU is not just a bunch of head knowledge. We want to produce graduates who not only succeed, but succeed in doing what is right.
