At OBU, Mrs. Hudson teaches classes in both voice and musical theater. Her students place consistently as finalists in vocal competitions and are performing throughout the United States. Outside of OBU, she is an active recitalist, stage performer, costume designer, clinician, and music contest adjudicator. Her performance credentials include the roles of Dolly in Hello Dolly, Golda in Fiddler on the Roof, Mother Superior in The Sound of Music, Mama Rose in Gypsy, Bloody Mary in South Pacific, and the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Her most recent role was the part of Aunt Eller in Discoveryland's production of Oklahoma! in the Summer 2003 season. Mrs. Hudson has been active on the Shawnee Little Theater Board as a director, costume designer, and performer in numerous shows. She has served as Music Director of Shawnee First Christian Church and St. Paul's Methodist Church and as a church/oratorio soloist for the past thirty years. Mrs. Hudson and her husband, Phil, enjoy traveling, remodeling, and gardening. Their number one interest, however, is eight "wonderful, beautiful grandchildren."
