Nancy Stizza-Ortega, instructor of flute, joined the music faculty at Oklahoma Baptist University in 1994. She plays piccolo and third flute in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, and principal flute in the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her work at OBU, she teaches a private studio of middle school and high school students. She is a founding member and past president of the Oklahoma Flute Society.

Mrs. Stizza-Ortega earned her Master of Music in flute performance and her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. She also attended the Aspen Music School, the Classical Music Seminar (Austria), and the Chautauqua Institution. Her principal teachers include Valerie Watts, Christine Smith, Richard Sherman, and David Shostac.
