OBU provides choral workshops for students planning to audition for the All-State Junior High Mixed Chorus, All-State High School Jazz Chorus (both OCDA sponsored) and All-State High School Mixed Chorus (OMEA sponsored). Sessions are designed to help students learn the selected music and prepare for auditions held in the fall of 2012. The workshops consist of repertoire-intensive sectionals with OBU faculty and students, a session on audition techniques, vocal and diction coaching and a number of non-rehearsed, fun activities. Also available are private voice lessons with OBU faculty (limited number available!). On-site Workshop Check-in begins at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12th. Sessions begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12th and end on Saturday July 14th at noon. Students are supervised by OBU personnel throughout the workshop. Students who register by July 5th will receive a written confirmation and detailed schedule can be obtained online.
