Stephen Miles teaches courses in Music Theory and Composition, as well as Music Technology.  He has studied Composition with Dr. Mary Jeanne van Appledorn and Dr. Steven Paxton, Theory with Dr. Gene Biringer and Dr. Edward Pearsall, and woodwinds with Don Turner.  He has composed various works for chamber groups and large instrumental & choral ensembles.  Stephen is an avid amateur astronomer, and hopes to begin work on a doctorate in music in the near future.
