Philipp Gulidov is a member of the MacArthur String Quartet and the instructor of cello at Oklahoma Baptist University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Oklahoma in Cello Performance. He received his Master of Music degree from St. Petersburg Conservatoire (St. Petersburg, Russia) in cello performance and also holds a Master of Music degree in conducting from the University of Northern Iowa. Philipp's cello teachers have included Leonid Shukayev, Alexei Massarsky, Jonathan Chenoweth and Jonathan Ruck.

Mr. Gulidov was awarded the Second Prize in Cello Performance at the Crimea Spring 2005International Music Competition in Yalta, Ukraine. He is also an avid promoter of chamber music and is a member ofthe Ave Rosa Early Music Ensemble, St. Petersburg Cello Ensemble, and Carpe Diem Chamber Orchestra. Before moving to Oklahoma Mr. Gulidov was a cello instructor at Wartbug College (Iowa).
