Dr. John Farris joined the OBU faculty for the 2004-2005 school year. Before coming to OBU, he worked as a director of teacher education and the graduate program for a Kentucky College. He has been in the public school arena as a teacher, learning director, assistant principal and high school principal. He has membership in the Association of Supervision and Curriculum, Oklahoma Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, Oklahoma Association of Teacher Educators, the Oklahoma Board of Examiners, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals among others. Dr. Farris is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
