You will need to interact skillfully with each patient, concerned for their whole person. OBU provides hands-on experiences that ready you for this task. Integrity is also important. Your specific area of study is not critical at the undergraduate level, although medical schools specify certain prerequisite courses in the sciences. For this reason, most students major in one of the sciences. Most medical schools require the following courses for admission: inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, biology, and English. In addition, they may require social sciences such as psychology and sociology and mathematics. You will also need good scores on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), which is usually take in the spring of your junior year.
