Dr. Lucrecia Litherland was born and raised in Argentina and has continued to visit her homeland frequently. She has published articles, along with given conference presentations, on bilingualism and education. She is a member of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and the Oklahoma Foreign Language Teachers Association. She is also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee where she is a part Hispanic Fellowship. She and her husband, Dr. Tony Litherland, Associate Professor of Political Science, teach Sunday school together in Spanish and have participated in various mission trips to Argentina. Dr. Litherland enjoys traveling, music, antiques, reading, and supporting her children in their various sports activities. She and her husband have four children, Eric, Heidi, Raquel, and Kelly, and one grandchild, Jordan.
