Journalism and Public Relations

Overview
When you graduate from OBU in journalism and public relations, you will understand the history of mass communication, the theories of mediated communication, and ethical and legal issues. You will be able to discuss journalism's role in mass communication, and display media literacy in general. In addition, news writing, feature writing, editorial writing, online writing and editing, and public relations writing are part of your preparation. Other experiences include editing, layout/design, ethical practices of mass communication, photography basics, and printing and production processes.

The Bison is OBU's weekly student paper. It is released every Wednesday after chapel.
