Dr. Craig Walker has published and presented many papers, leading stirring discussions on topics such as "Why Did Johnny Drop Out? An Economic Model of College Student Retention," "Education Demand: Do Homeowners Think There is a Difference Between Expenditures and Outcomes?" and "Do Title I Grants Really Help Poor Children?" Dr. Walker is the vice-president and president elect of the Southwestern Economics Association. Dr .Walker is a faculty sponsor of the Students in Free Enterprise team at OBU. Dr. Walker is involved in the Shawnee Habitat for Humanity, where he’s on the board of directors and is the chair of the church relations. He serves as treasurer for the Shawnee Cross Country Booster. He is a member of University Baptist Church where he is a deacon and currently serves on the properties committee.
