Welcome From the Dean
As you contemplate the decisions about where to obtain your business education, I can think of no better place than Oklahoma Baptist University. Whether pursuing a business degree in finance, marketing, management, international business, accounting or computer science, the Paul Dickinson School of Business is dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence and our results reflect that dedication. We also offer a master of Business Administration (MBA) program through our International Graduate School.
Nationally accredited by the prestigious Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), we pride ourselves in providing opportunities for a quality career education in a strong liberal arts environment. A business degree earned in a liberal arts environment equips our students with the lifelong skills of learning, allowing our business graduates to adapt and respond to a rapidly, ever-changing marketplace and world.
Our mission is to provide more than professional competence; it is to prepare innovative leaders with spiritual and moral values, purpose, imagination, and vision for the 21st century. Indeed, by equipping our students with not only the academic skills required for their profession, but also a sense of purpose beyond themselves and the jobs they will hold, we know that our students will have opportunities to shape lives, influence communities and impact the world in powerful ways.
Learning to live a life of integrity is seldom found in the pages of a textbook. Rather, the lessons of integrating values with business disciplines are most effectively taught and learned by example. Every student in OBU's School of Business has the opportunity to see a life lived with purpose in action from every faculty member. We have a world-class faculty who consider it a privilege to teach in a culture that emphasizes personal attention to students. As a result, our alumni represent an exceptional pool of the best and brightest business graduates.
As a 1986 graduate from OBU, I have returned to this great school, convinced that our university offers students a life-changing experience to become world-changing leaders. We invite you to come and be a part of that dynamic experience. We would love for you to make OBU your home away from home.
