Announces Retirement
After more than nine years at the helm of Oklahoma Baptist University, Dr. Mark Brister will step down from the presidency on November 10, at the conclusion of OBU's Homecoming. He made the announcement on campus Friday afternoon, October 12. OBU's 14th president, Brister has the third-longest presidential tenure in the institution's 97-year history.OBU Trustees elected John W. Parrish, executive vice president emeritus, to serve as the University's interim president, effective November 11.
